This book cover combines traditional heraldic elements with Art Deco aesthetics (the last officially approved coat of arms of Timișoara dates back to this period), bringing together hand-painted details in a digitally composed collage.

Inspired by Timișoara’s architectural heritage, the design reinterprets the elements from the city’s coat of arms in the style of plaster cast facade ornaments, blending historical symbolism with a structured, decorative approach. The central coat of arms is also hand-painted, giving the composition a crafted, tangible quality. More than just a visual representation, this cover echoes the book’s exploration of Timișoara’s heraldic and architectural identity.

The illustration was painted on paper, using pencil and watercolor. The wall textured photograph background was digitally added. The coat of arms in the middle was painted on paper with gouache and acrylics.
