Cœlestini Coloris is the result of a shared passion for heraldic art and history, brought to life by Bettina-Evelin and Drăgan-George Basarabă, a couple dedicated to preserving and celebrating the beauty of this timeless tradition. The name Cœlestini Coloris is derived from the traditional formula used in the grants of nobility and arms issued by the Princes of Transylvania during the 16th and 17th centuries. In these documents, many coats of arms were described as "in cuius campo coelestini coloris", meaning "in whose field of celestial color", referring to the shield's background as being sky blue. This formula reflects the naturalistic and symbolic style of Transylvanian heraldry at the time, where the sky's color was a common motif.

Bettina is an accredited heraldic painter by the National Committee of Heraldry, Genealogy, and Sigillography of the Romanian Academy and an honorary member of the Transylvanian Heraldic and Vexillological Association. She has a formal background in architecture and heritage conservation. Her artistic approach reflects her deep appreciation for traditional art forms, transforming each coat of arms into a unique, authentic piece of art.

Drăgan-George, a heraldist and historian, is a member of both the National Committee of Heraldry, Genealogy, and Sigillography of the Romanian Academy and the Romanian Institute of Genealogy and Heraldry "Sever Zotta", as well as an honorary member of the Transylvanian Heraldic and Vexillological Association. He specialises in the study of Romanian heraldry under the Hohenzollern dynasty, that of Romanian noble families within the Habsburg Monarchy, and the heraldic traditions of the Principality of Transylvania. His expertise combines meticulous historical research with a profound understanding of heraldic principles.

As a Romanian-Hungarian team, our main area of activity is in Romania and Hungary, where we focus on painting existing or creating accurate and culturally relevant new coats of arms. However, we are always open to international collaborations and take pride in bringing our expertise to a global audience.

Together, we participate in heraldry- and genealogy-themed congresses and events to stay connected with the latest developments in the field and to collaborate with fellow enthusiasts and professionals.

At Cœlestini Coloris, we offer a range of heraldic services, including custom-designed coats of arms—whether newly created or based on existing designs—along with bespoke heraldic art and objects. Our mission is to create correct and visually stunning heraldic pieces, blending artistic expression with professional and historical accuracy. We are always open to new ideas and projects, ensuring that every creation tells a unique and meaningful story.
